Okay now man, for those who don't know, she's from Detroit and was deemed the first Princess of the R.O.C. but didn't last very long, I think because of her adult content in her lyrics and def the whole marketing plan.
Why I say lyrics is because she wasn't old enough to buy her own album due to the parental advisory. She was talkin about fuckin and "Makin' Her Feel Good" at 16 which isn't a good look. I know that a lot of us had already start doing things by then, me included, but if I was tryin to be mainstream then I would base my music around it. I think it was due to really bad decision on DefJam's part and also the style she decided to run with.
The funny thing is she was suppose to be Rihanna! She had more face time and was expected to do big things, until Oct. 31st it was announced she had be Dropped from the label, which really happened earlier that summer. Now she's with Warner Bros. and about to drop a new cd, I honestly don't see it going anywhere but I would like it to. We don't have enough Detroit artist out there and we could really use some!
Here her interview:
I can't think of any other words to describe how she acts in this interview except "Detroitish" just the way she explains certain things, it's like she needs to be coached on how to be interviewed cuz she sounds like a regular Detroit chick from the hood that dun made it, and she also still has somewhat of a cocky attitude that she needs to lose. The thing is in the D people either love her or hate her, there's no safe medium, so the cocky shit, she can ditch. But I Honestly think she got mad potential and hope the best for her
